The Lumberyard is available for tours on an appointment basis only. Please call us at 256-651-3417 to schedule your visit .
Rental Deposits are due when signing a rental agreement in order to hold the requested date. .
- The deposits are 50% of the total fee and must be paid by check or cash (no credit cards). Facilities ARE NOT reserved until the deposit is received
- The rental deposit is NON REFUNDABLE after three (3) business days.
- The deposit is applied towards the facility rental and will remain on account for re-booking within one year should event planner cancel after the third business day.
- If the event is not rescheduled within one year, all monies are forfeited by event planner.
- The Lumberyard reserves the right to cancel an event due to severe weather or conditions beyond its control that in the Lumberyard’s sole discretion jeopardizes the safety of those attending the event. (Cold, wet, or hot weather is not considered threatening. Dress appropriately to enjoy the event.
- The Lumberyard must receive any remaining balance payment of the facility rental fee, including any additional cleaning fees, thirty (30) days prior to your event.
Security Deposit - A security/damage deposit is required for the rental of the Lumberyard facility.
Non-alcoholic event 250 people or less – $250.00 Alcoholic event 250 people or less – $500.00 Events of 250 or more quoted per event- Deposit amounts vary up to $1000 and are only quoted once we have been provided all the relevant particulars of the event. (ie. size of crowd, invitations vs. general ticketing, open bar, etc.)
- The damage deposit will be refunded within 10 days after your function providing that the event planner and their guests have adhered to the Lumberyard’s posted rental policies, guidelines and rules and more specifically that The Lumberyard has not incurred property or equipment damage.
- Should damage or missing items be determined, the repair/replacement costs will be deducted from this deposit and the remaining balance, if any, refunded.
- Any damages to furniture, fixtures, walls, floors, ceilings, doors, mirrors, tabletops or other property of The Lumberyard shall be the sole-responsibility of the event planner. If the cost to repair is greater than the damage deposit, the event planner shall be responsible for the remaining balance.
Other Charges may include a Clean-up Fee, Additional on Site Personel, Gas Fees for Heaters, and any other 3rd party rentals we manage on your behalf.
Lumberyard Clean-up schedule and fee may will be estimated for each party based upon the particulars provided by the Event planner. As event planner you can choose to handle the clean up of Lumberyard yourself making sure:
- all rubbish gets into the proper dumpster
- all decorations are cleared
- all 3rd party rentals are stacked in designated areas
- the area is generally policed of trash and materials related to the event
- items not belonging to The Lumberyard are removed the same day as the scheduled event
Kitchen Clean-up
Event planner/caterer is responsible for the complete clean-up of kitchen area. Countertops should be washed, Ovens and Microwaves should be cleaned, Floors should be swept, Trash should be placed in the outside dumpster, Coffee Machine should be washed, Wash and Clean Sinks and surrounding area, Do not leave excess food, condiments, or leftovers in the refrigerator or freezer without approval. This is critical to the security deposit refund.
Payment Schedule
- Payment #1 – 50% of the rental fee paid at the time of signing the contract in order to hold the requested date. (Non-refundable after three days)
- Payment #2 – 50% remianing balance of the rental fee paid 30 days prior to the event, plus any additional charges including Clean-Up Fees (Non-refundable), plus (100%) Payment of the Security/Damage Deposit. (Refundable up to 10 days after Event)
